Mino (mee no) is only six days old in these photos and already much cuter and woolier. He's a paler, golden color (that blond cocker spaniel color) than this, but the photos came out reddish. He was 35 lbs at birth, a 363 gestation and was on his feet right away and refused to kush again for hours. He was running all over and his dam was going nuts. I think she wanted to rest a bit (no wonder!) and was quite concerned when he ran off to explore. He hasn't slowed down since. He is large boned for a young guy and very solid, kind of like a truck, but tall. His fiber is dense, soft, but not curly like his black full sister's. He has great ears, but you'd never know it by these photos. He was all legs at birth, but he's finally getting a bit more square on them now. He'll come up for a good look and is a calm llama to handle. I love his golden color, just wish it showed in the photos. |

He has a darling beard (part unicorn?) and I can't tell at this point how long wooled he'll be, but he's quite wooly now. I think he's going to be bigger than his full sister. It's weird that a llama can be tall and stocky seeming, but he is. I'm looking forward to seeing how he changes and grows over the coming months. Update: It's now Feb of 98 and I really need new photos of Mino. He's big and solid, medium wooled and still a lovely palomino color. His full sister Castalia's Rammalita and he really look nothing alike. And he doesn't look like grandsire Legend's Rammas. But he's still a sweetie and will make someone a fine companion. He is still tall and big boned, has great ears and nice fiber for spinning. That fiber will make a lovely colored sweater! If you're looking for a good companion and have other boys at home he can live with, pop me an email. He's reasonably priced to the right home. |
