Where Llamas Bloom

Most people don't know there is another realm where llamas bloom like flowers and converse about majik and the wonders of their universe. Their biggest problem is keeping hummingbirds from searching for nectar in their ears, which they say tickles something terrible.

Unlike flowers blooming on earth, these blooms and llamas are both fairly rare and live 1000 years. They are quite wise, but very tired by then. When it comes their time to go, they fade away quickly, drying into tiny golden particles that waft off to shimmer near the moon. In fact, they are commonly called "moon dust" or "fairie dust" on earth.

On nights when the moon has a gold or orange glow, it means a lot of new "bloom llamas" have just arrived. In time they fade to a silver glow. The other bloom llamas celebrate that time by drinking dew and singing sacred songs. It's not a time of sadness because they know their old friends twinkle near the moon and new ones have just bloomed.
