I'm 50, a seeker of majik and hooked on the Net. I'm familiar with many faces of the Goddess and Great Spirit. Not a born again pagan, new age shaman or airy-fairy lost soul, just tuned in to the rhythms and voids that eventually form patterns in my life. This doesn't mean I'm not pagan (which actually translates to 'country dweller'), not into shamanism, or never soulfully lost. It just means there is more to most things than buying a trinket, declaring yourself astute, and making no real changes. I was a gypsy for years, but in 1990 I bought the farm (pun intended) and have put down solid roots. I'd rather picnic with friends than dress up and go out. I've lived in Oregon, Alaska, Mississippi, Colorado, California, Arizona and all over Washington. I left shadows of my spirit in Oak Creek Canyon by Sedona, and Crystal Beach near Lake Havasu City - two towns I lived in and adored. I went to a small resort in Mexico called El Toucan, and felt like I'd nestled into the arms of a trusted lover. To me there is unbelievable majik in the desert, so full of dramatic changes. I've always enjoyed tourist towns due to the high percentage of gifted, unconventional people they draw, so I live in one now. A small island in the cold, blue waters of the Pacific Northwest, almost Canada actually. We're closer to Victoria than the US mainland. My llamas are part of my passion. I also enjoy reading (see Enchanted Books for some of my favorites), writing, gardening, meeting like-minded people, creating odd art, comedy / romance movies, bonfires under the full moon on hot summer nights, and fantasizing about what the next moment might bring.
I've been divorced three times and have children and grandchildren I adore. Life is good, except for being in debt to the max. It would be nice to win the lottery, but friends keep insisting I should buy tickets if I expect to win. Actually, one of them buys me tickets fairly regularly because she's convinced I'm going to hit it. I'm hoping she's psychic and not merely deluded...
I'm a friend of Bill W.'s since '85'. I first met Bill when I was 19, but it took awhile for me to see what he had, ya know? Look in Recovery for other friends of Bill's and Recovery Links. If you don't know Bill, that's okay too. I hope you find something in my pages to bring on a smile. Maybe a site or book you haven't yet explored, perhaps a new email buddy. I have two small businesses. The first is Castalia Llamas, and the second is Chelle's Webweaving & Graphics, offering web site design and custom graphics. If you want out-of-the-ordinary web pages, I'd love to create something unique just for you. I once received an email telling me it was disappointing to find 'business info' on my 'Me' page and suggesting I remove it so I could be linked to their site. There IS a reason it is here. My businesses are a passion with me, part of my totality and wholeness. One of the things our society does is tear apart our wholeness, perhaps even more so to women. I put 'me' wholeheartedly into all that I do and it becomes a oneness. Business is *not* an unholy word, it's how we choose to conduct ourselves under all circumstances that matters. I find it odd that our culture demands we tell 'about us' while denying the creativity and effort that leads to our support. Supporting ourselves needn't be a thing apart. Unfortunately, many people have 'jobs' they hate. I am thrilled to be supporting myself (not in the style I'd like to become accustomed to) doing what I love. Running my little farm and working through the nights on computer is a tough road sometimes, but a good one, and I love it. I'd like your business and feel I can do something you'll enjoy. When people consider hiring me, I want them to know the type of person I am. It makes it easier to work together.
Long ago, some Native Americans had shields outside their dwellings. Their essence, medicines, or certain experiences were painted upon them. These shields told others who they were. Think of this as a 'written shield'. I am part Pawnee and I see no 'lesser parts' of me concerned with what I do to eat, grow and give to others, than what I think, feel or say. Those that can't understand will probably not hire me, but those who did, have becomes friends. Business can be a bridge from soul to soul, and at it's best, it is.
This is a review I found by accident: I'm glad he enjoyed my art. My friends and I laughed and they call me Slick now, but what else would someone need to know about me? The info above has always been here (my age, financial dilemma, spiritual beliefs, kids, recovery status, interests and some geographical history) and I can't think of more to share with the multitudes on the Net. Some of my personal writings are in Strange Ramblings and Pondering, my heart is in my llama section and the rest is...well, private. I am flattered about the "Gorgeous art combines with a winsome personality and a staggering array of interests to put together a wonderful web world." part, but as I already warned you...no claims to fame.
