Montesano X Riny's Holly * ILR # 73034 * Bloodtype # LL1164 * Bloodlines Santa is a great all around guy. He's a red, white and black paint. He isn't a "fancy" llama, but his body fiber drags the ground when he's unshorn. I keep him in a cria clip because he's very active. But he's not a bit hyper as you can see as he kushes in the living room and gives me snuggly hugz. He has good bone, good ears and passes his straight back and super tailset onto his crias. His legs, head and neck are covered in curls. He loves to hike, ride in the van, visits for hours as a gentleman at childrens events (while being mauled by eager kids) and deeply resents the younger studs being on his farm.
Santa is a great buddy, he'll go anywhere and behave as a gentleman. On the trails in the woods or at the busiest park filled with kids and other critters, I can trust him to be a good representative of the gentle nature of llamas. However, he's all stud when it comes to the females and has produced many excellent crias. He now has quite a few grandcrias too, all healthy with no genetic problems. Santa has produced 5 females and 5 males and I may breed him again in 98. I'm trying to cut back my herd to lower my work load, so I didn't breed my gang in 97. Two of his crias are definite suri types and many are quite wooly. And he passes on his gentle disposition, making them very pleasurable to be around. You can see his crias here.
