Circular Deck Prisms for Boats

Deck prisms were used to let sunlight into dark and gloomy areas on the
old sailing vessels of previous centuries but they are still very useful
today, and certainly add a touch of elegance to any classic craft. These
smaller lites are just the right size for many modern yachts and classic
workboats. The short lite is 3 in. tall, the taller one 3-3/4 in. Diameter
of both is 3-3/8 in. with the bronze flanges for both measuring 4-3/4 in.
OD x 2-3/4 in. ID x 3/16 in. thick, drilled and countersunk for 6 flathead
or ovalhead screws. The lites are replicas of antique ones used on wooden
decks of older craft, but it is an easy job to fit them to a thinner metal
or fibreglas deck and the bronze flanges could probably even be chromed
if desired on a modern style vessel. An installation drawing is included
which shows both the traditional install for a wood deck and a suggested
method for a newer thin deck.
Price is $80. for each deck prism set, including fitted bronze ring drilled and countersunk for 6 screws. (The screws themselves are not included.) If purchasing two as a pair, we will discount the combined price $10., down to $150. for both, and we will try to pick each pair to match as close as possible as to colouring and appearance of the glass.
We may have some larger sizes and different styles of these lites available in the future, so check with us if the above lites do not fit your requirements.
