Misc. Castings & Products For Sale

I have retired from foundry and machine work as my main work and am now concentrating on my Macintosh consulting and writing, but I still enjoy the foundry and shop as a hobby, and produce a limited number of different things in the course of pursuing it. I also still have a few things in stock from before I quit working metal as a profession. If you have any special requests, such as the custom builder's plaques or memorials described below, I will do my best to work them in on my spare time.

Glass Boat Deck Prisms.
We have a very small number of these "Orange Juicer" style prisms left in stock. (Click on the prism for a larger picture showing both styles, further details, and pricing.)

Bronze Atlas Engine Labels

I have a few of these heavy cast bronze Atlas Imperial Engine labels left in stock. I cast these new, with blank areas for your own engine's horsepower and serial number, since many original engines are missing their labels. They are also fine for collectors. Label is almost 1/4 in. thick and 3-3/4 in. wide by 8-1/2 in. long. Price polished is $48.

Small Bronze Cannon with vertigris finish.

This is a replica of a 17th Century gun found on a galleon wrecksite in the Florida Keys. We are going to do a limited number of about half a dozen more of these soon (May-June 2001), for sale at $300. each. They are approx. one foot long with very fine detailing. This price is for the barrels only with vertigree'd finish, but I have a scale drawing of the period carraige which I will include with each cannon. And if you do not want them vertigree'd to resemble the real one salvaged from the sea, then I can buff and polish them at an extra cost of approx. $60. more if I know ahead of time. Each cannon barrel will be numbered and signed, and include a letter describing the history and story of the original cannons.

Custom Builders Plaque.
An engine room name plate for a large classic luxury yacht. We can do these custom builder's plaques in a variety of shapes and styles of lettering, up to about 18 in. in length. The patternwork of course, is a large part of the price for something like this, but even though they are somewhat expensive, they are a wonderful investment for the right vessel, building cornerstone, or memorial. The average total cost for a custom designed plaque, handmade in polished bronze, is about $600 to $700, so not too bad if the situation calls for this quality.
