About the Artist
Gwendolyn is 23 years old and has been making art since she could sit up and hold a crayon.
Her deep spirituality and love of the natural world find an outlet in her Celtic art. With infinite patience she creates intricate interpretations, drawing inspiration from Medieval illustrated manuscripts, Nordic Runes, Pagan cosmology and other ancient faith traditions. With steady hand and using only a pen and pigments, she draws swirls, geometric borders, fantastic creatures, and Runic text that can often be truly appreciated only with a magnifying glass.
She has won awards for her Celtic images as well as for works in acrylic paints and ceramics. Both her art and her university studies in geophysics reflect her deep love of the Earth and her intuitive understanding of the beauty and order of the universe.
