Services Available

Delicious hot lunches and home-delivered meals are offered on Monday and Thursday at 11:45 AM from our kitchen (see Lunches and Home-delivered Meals). Both fresh and frozen meals are delivered on those days to the homebound. Call us by 10:00 AM to have a meal delivered or to pick up a lunch to-go. Wheelchairs, walkers and canes are available for loan in a variety of sizes. We have free monthly blood pressure checks provided by the Health Department. Foot care clinics are available at a very low price. Two weeks of emergency prescription medication vouchers are available when to other source is available. Specialized transport (see Transportation & Trips), information and assistance to enable seniors to continue living in their own homes as long as possible and referral to local care givers are services we regularly provide. During the first three months of each year we host free tax assistance as sponsored by AARP. Twice annually, we host the driving safety class called 55-Alive. New activities are added as interest develops.

We also provide referral links to several low-income programs including Project Pal helping with electric bills at OPALCO, 376-3500 and Opportunity Council home weatherization at the Family Resource Center 378-5246. Discounts on local dental care are offered by the Washington State Dental Association through the Senior Center.
