What we do

The San Juan Advisory Committee members work with the county Senior Services staff to operate the Mullis Community Senior Center at 589 Nash Street, Friday Harbor on San Juan Island. This new, handicapped-accessible facility, dedicated to serve our community on January 3, 2002, was the result of years of fundraising and donations from interested community members. It is owned by the non-profit organization Senior Services Council of San Juan County and is certified as a Red Cross disaster shelter in case of a local emergency.

The facilities, including meeting space and commercial kitchen, may be rented when space is not needed for Senior Services programs or activities. Rates and room availability can be determined at the Mullis Center or by calling the bookkeeper at 378-9102 who returns calls daily.
