My New HomeWhen it's not cloudy you can see the Straight of Juan de Fuca and the San Juan Islands where the dip in the trees is. The area behind the barn to the right is fenced off wetlands - not for pasture.
These first photos are taken out of my (rather dirty) front window.
It's slightly overcast today, but warm.
The pasture starts at the fenceline where the darker green is. Midway back it splits to fence off the boys. The pastures are in a rectangle, with 4 in front I'm using for the girls, and 3 in back, plus the runway for the boys. The end fenceline is by the trees in front of the house and barn in the distance. Those folks have llamas too.
This is looking out the window a little more to the left where the neighbor's fruit trees start.
Further left and you can see some of my boys WAYYYY out there.
This is looking out the window to the left toward my neighbor/landlords. They have TONS of apple, cherry and pear trees just COVERED in free fruit! The pen is for their chickens.
This is looking out the window to the right toward the garden full of free veggies!
The rest of these were taken outdoors.
This is taken from the girl's front gate. The shelters and feeders are Chela's and will be leaving, but the white water tank stays. :) Off to the right next to the barn is the silver gate that leads to the runway for the boys and out to their pastures. The girls seem to stay in a group, often up front, but the boys love to spread out in all 3 of their pastures often not staying together. The white and brown spots toward the back on the left are the boys. The boys saw the horses and 3 ran up the runway to the barn to be safe. :) They started alarming so the girls came out to look, except CC who is eating (as usual).
This is taken from the girl's front gate toward the left and the horses. The brown shelter is in the girls pasture, but too far away for me to feed in in unless I get a 4-wheeler and cart. It can't be moved which is why Chela is leaving it, otherwise I'd move it up closer for use. Right past that are the dreaded horses. You can see the brown one and pinto a bit. :)This is taken from the girl's front gate toward the garden. This is taken from the girl's front gate toward the house (trailer). This is taken from road and shows the carport on the right side of the house and beyond it is the drive to the barn. This is taken from road and shows road to the barn. This is taken from across the road and shows sides of the back of the house.
