 Part Five

WEBSTRING INTELLIGENCE

 

 A. The Experience

1. READ THE PARAGRAPHS BELOW:

Here are some observations from this course and Project NatureConnect's research, website and books. Do you think they are examples of webstrings being intelligent?

Scientifically, it is clear that natural systems organize themselves with the string. Moment by moment systems are attracted to create additional string and connections that increasingly weave, balance and repair the web of life. This is not done haphazardly, rather it forms an attraction intelligence that produces nature's optimum of life, diversity, cooperation, balance and beauty. It is worth remembering that the process is inclusive and caring enough to globally produce and sustain the web of life without creating garbage. Nothing is left out, unattached or unwanted, a way to define unconditional love.

Natural systems and nature centered people don't display the runaway war, abusiveness, pollution, mental and environmental disorders that plague our lives. Any person who could produce these results would considered a supergenius. These problems arise because our estrangement from nature prejudiciously and addictively deprives our thinking from conscious contact with webstrings, their intelligence, nurturance and energies.

Pinch yourself gently. Do you trust that you felt something?
Now, pinch yourself too hard. Do you trust that a webstring sense (pain, reason or both) intelligently calls to you to stop pinching yourself that hard?

Each natural webstring sense and sensation, such as Thirst, is a distinct intelligence. Thirst displays intelligence in that it knows to turn itself on and bring to our awareness that our body needs water, and to turn off when we have had enough water. In addition thirst is wise enough to communicate with the sense of reason, smell, color, location, and memory to determine if the water is fit to drink.

 

2. THE ACTIVITY , Using the permission activity in Part 4, with a notepad and pencil, go to and obtain consent from an attractive natural area to visit it and enjoy its intelligence. Once you gain the area's permission, recognize that each natural attraction webstring you sense there is a basic intelligence. Try to identify that intelligence as follows:

A. Find a natural attraction.

B. Before you find another natural attraction, try to identify or imagine in the Web of Life what intelligent thing(s) this attraction is doing, or what intelligent role(s) it is playing .

C. Write down the attraction and the intelligence. If you can't identify the intelligence, see if you can find this webstring's intelligent value in yourself. (f you still can't identify the intelligence, later email your group members and ask them if they know what intelligence they think it might be and/or look it up in an encyclopedia)

Repeat this activity a few times until you feel you have experienced and validated that webstrings act like (and therefore are) basic intelligences.

 

3.PERSONAL EXPERIENCE: Think of a time or situation in the past when you have been aware of the intelligence(s) operating that you discovered in this activity. This could have taken place while you were at home, school, work or in a natural area.

4. APPRECIATION: Can you find some way to express appreciation to nature for the webstring intelligence it has given your life or shared with you here today?

 

Summary Option: You are encouraged to do the following evaluation activity:

Below is a summary statement about this page followed by an agreement indicator. For future reference and growth, read the SUMMARY and then mark on the indicator the degree of agreement you have with the statement. Record and retain your score on a separate piece of paper.

SUMMARY U: It is reasonable to sense and recognize that each webstring attraction is an intelligence that people in industrial society seldom learn to celebrate and too often deny or abuse.

OPTIONAL: On a piece of paper, record the SUMMARY letter above (U) along with the number (below) that indicates your agreement with the summary statement.

B. Supportive Reading

Read and take the EcoSensory Perception Intelligence Test as far as time permits before you tally your score on its last page. (You will score higher and learn more if you do all its pages.) As you do it, select the single statement you find there that you would be most willing to sign your name to with respect to it best representing your thoughts and feelings in the Webstring Intelligence Activity.

Save your IQ score for comparison purposes later.

 

ATTENTION: IGE-IUPS degree program and certification program applicants: after completing this Part 5, you may submit your application to the Graduate Student Cooperative so you may start your degree program courses.

C) Thoughtful verbalization:

Start your post to the group with the Subject (GROUP NAME OR NUMBER)_________: PART 1, YOUR NAME, so that other course members and readers can identify it, read it, and share their thoughts and feelings about your experiences with this page and vice versa.

Submit your attraction experiences, thoughts and feelings from the material on this page to your support group or journal along with the following Twelve Interact Catalysts:

1) a general description of how you did the activity and what happened, along with quotes you like from the readings and how they added meaning to the experience.

2) the three most important things you learned from the chapter and webstring connections;

3) how would you feel about having the webstring attractions you experienced in the activity taken away from you?

4) whether or not the activity enhanced your sense of self-worth and your trustfulness of nature;

5) the part of you, if any, the activity identified or re-educated inside or outside of you;

6) your reactions to what you found attractive in the postings you read from the other group members. Be sure to save the interact postings of yourself and others that are attractive to you so that you can refer to them and quote them in the final paper for this course.

7) What value, if any, was there to doing the Summary Option (If you did it.)

8) Write one or two keywords that convey what important thing you learned from this assignment.

9) Write one or more complete, single, short, power sentence "quotes" that convey a significant contribution that this assignment makes to improving our relationships.

(10) Integrating Dream Time:get at least night's sleep before doing the next activity. While your 5-leg mind sleeps, your 4-leg mind rides the inroads to consciousness made by the activity and reading. Note, upon awakening, whether any changes have occurred with respect to your outlook or the way you feel.

11) Conclude by identifying what things you have put into the trustable, uncontaminated, thought and feeling room/space you built into your psyche during Part/Chapter One. The use of these eleven Interact Catalysts will enhance your learning experience and that of the others in the course as well.

12) Remember: You will increase your learning from this activity by 75% if you teach this activity to another person. You may ask your interact group for help if you need it.

CONCLUDE by identifying what things you have put into the trustable, uncontaminated, thought and feeling room you built into your mentality.

The use of the Seven Interact Catalysts will enhance your learning experience and that of the others in the course as well.

REMEMBER: You will increase your learning from this activity by 75% if you teach this activity to another person. You may ask your interact group for help if you need it.
