As the name implies, Balfa Toujours (meaning Balfa Forever) is heir to the Balfa tradition. Inspired by her father Dewey, and her uncles Will, Rodney, and Burke.
Christine Balfa continues to carry the family banner, bringing the message of cultural pride to the ever expanding Cajun audience. With accordionist Dirk Powell, fiddler Kevin Wimmer, and drummer Mike "Chop" Chapman. Balfa Toujours inspires the old songs with a new freshness and creates new songs that sound as if they have been around for generations. When they perform live, it is easy to see that Cajun music is an affair of the heart for the members of the band. Their music has all the warmth of an extended family reunion.

What Balfa Toujours does best? Rare old material and expressive original compositions, hard-driving dance tunes and sweet acoustic listening music; infectious accordion-led numbers and heart-felt twin fiddle pieces, all played with the relentless emotional edge characteristic of the Balfa tradition.
